The story began in 1969, when Bill Renner opened a small local business known as Renner Equipment. His goal was simple: create a place the people of Smith Valley could rely on. Over the years, it grew into far more than a store. It became part of everyday life in the valley, where ranchers, farmers, and families could stop in, pick up what they needed, and visit for a while before heading back out.

In 1977, Bill’s son Don Renner stepped in as general manager, continuing the hard work and neighborly spirit the store was built on. Under Don’s leadership, Renner Equipment remained a trusted stop for the hardworking people who keep Smith Valley running.

In 2023, the next generation stepped forward. Trent Renner, born and raised in Smith Valley, proudly carried on the family tradition. While honoring the foundation his father and grandfather built, Trent introduced a new chapter for the business with a new name: Renner Ranch Supply.

The new name reflects the same values the store has always stood for, while focusing even more on serving the needs of local ranchers, farmers, and families. Trent is proud to keep the legacy alive while growing the store so folks can find what they need close to home without making the trip into town.
